Now that you know what skills to start with let me show you exactly how to set up your Fiverr account step by step.Open the Fiverr app or go to fiverr.com and click sign up. Use your Gmail to create your account quickly.For your profile photo use a clear photo of your face. Smiling. Good lighting. No sunglasses. No group photos. Clients want to see who they are working with.In your bio write 2 to 3 sentences about yourself. Mention where you are from, what skill you offer and why you are reliable. For example: “I am a freelancer from Tanzania offering writing services. I am reliable, fast and committed to delivering quality work for every client.”Now create your first gig. A gig is simply your service listing — it tells buyers exactly what you offer.Your gig title should be clear and specific. For example: “I will write a 500 word article on any topic” is better than “I will do writing work.”For your price start at $5. This feels low but it is intentional. At $5 you remove the buyer’s hesitation. Your goal right now is not money. Your goal is your first review.Add gig images using Canva. Create simple clean graphics showing what your service includes. PayPal has limitations for receiving money in Tanzania, while Payoneer works smoothly and gives you a US bank account number that Fiverr and many other platforms accept.If you do not have Payoneer yet create your account at payoneer.com. It is free. Verification with your ID may take a few days, so it is best to set this up early — even before your first order arrives.Once your earnings reach your Payoneer balance you can withdraw to a Tanzanian bank account. The first withdrawal may take a little longer due to verification, but afterward withdrawals become faster and more routine.Be patient with this process. It is a one time setup that, once done, works for every future payment

Many beginners make the same mistakes. Avoid these and you are already ahead of most people starting today.Mistake one — offering too many services at once.
